About this race
The Selwyn Stampede Half Marathon is run in the Arbor Green development in Rolleston, Canterbury, on four laps of a flat, fast 5.25km loop. Each lap starts and finishes on Goulds Road, runs via Arbor Green Boulevard, then makes an out-and-back along Westmoor Boulevard before returning along Dunns Crossing Road to Goulds Road. The course is mostly on wide, sealed pathways and roads, with a single aid station on the course. The repeated laps make it easy for supporters to follow, with virtually no elevation along the way. The half marathon starts at 8:00am alongside the 10.5km, 5.25km and the four-person relay, and has a three-hour time limit. A 1km kids dash for under-13s follows on the same morning. It is organised by Selwyn Sports Trust.
