Hobsonville Half Marathon

The Hobsonville Half Marathon starts and finishes at Hobsonville War Memorial Park, the event headquarters, in northwest Auckland. The first part of the course tours Hobsonville Point, including the coastal Little Loop track around Catalina Bay. Runners then cross State Highway 16, with the Squadron Drive ramp closed for the event, and head onto back roads beside the RNZAF base at Whenuapai. The route continues north to Herald Island, which is circled counter-clockwise, before heading back over the Clarks Lane footbridge to the finish. The surface is mostly paved, with a small share of unsealed track. The organisers describe the course as flat and fast, with very little up and down, and the profile is gently rolling with short, small rises. It is Round Four of the Auckland Half Marathon Series.
