Round the Bridges 12k

Round the Bridges 12k starts on Victoria Street in Hamilton's central business district, with the start and finish at Garden Place. Runners head north on Victoria Street and drop down to the river path at Rostrevor Street, then cross the Waikato River at Fairfield Bridge. The route follows River Road south along the opposite bank through Hamilton Gardens, crosses Cobham Bridge and returns along the river path to the CBD. The course uses closed roads and scenic river paths and is almost entirely paved. After an early drop from the city centre to river level, the profile is gently rolling beside the river, with a final climb back into town for the finish in the city centre. The event is a popular annual fun run with a 6k and kids' races on the same morning.
