About this race
The Clevedon 5k starts and finishes at the Clevedon Village Farmers Market on Monument Road in the Franklin district of Auckland. It is an out-and-back course that heads south along Monument Road to Tourist Road, then follows Tourist Road north-east through farmland to a turnaround near the McNicol Road junction before returning the same way to the market. The course is mostly sealed country road with some smooth, hard-packed gravel and the organisers describe it as easy running on relatively flat roads with small undulations, giving a gently rolling profile with a few short rises and falls. The 5k is open to all ages, walkers are welcome and strollers and prams are allowed, though wheelchairs are not. It starts at the same time as the 10k and is organised by First Tier Sports Productions.
