About this race
The Kerikeri Half Marathon is a point-to-point course in the Far North, starting at the junction of State Highway 1 and Waiare Road near Okaihau and finishing at the Kerikeri Domain in the centre of town. Runners head north-east along sealed rural roads, beginning with a gradual climb on Waiare Road before the course crests and settles into a long, steady descent through rolling countryside towards Kerikeri. The surface is almost entirely tarmac, and the profile is predominantly downhill, with a few short rises along the way. The final kilometres lead into Kerikeri and finish at the Domain. The event is organised by Sport Northland and also includes a 5k run and walk for adults and kids, with the half marathon starting at 7:00am on Saturday.
