CB Civil 6k

CB Civil 6km, part of Lugtons' Round the Bridges, starts and finishes at Garden Place in the Hamilton CBD. The course heads north along Victoria Street before dropping to the Waikato River path at Rostrevor Street and crossing the river at Fairfield Bridge. From there runners follow River Road south along the riverbank before crossing back over the river at Victoria Bridge, then climb back up Victoria Street to finish at Garden Place. It is a shorter version of the event's 12km course, omitting the loop through Hamilton Gardens. The route is entirely flat, combining sealed city streets with riverside paths, and organisers describe it as suitable for all ages and abilities and wheelchair accessible. First held by the Hamilton Harriers Club in 1945, Round the Bridges has become a long-running fixture on Hamilton's community running calendar each November.
